The Beginning...

I've been wanting to start this blog for, oh, about a year now! My husband's new blogging journey has encouraged me to start getting serious about this though. And, finally, on Monday night it all came together. So here it is. The beginning of my new blog life.

"What happened Monday night?" you ask.

Brock and I are members of a pretty awesome prayer group that meets weekly. This last week we had a special time of prayer where we laid hands on each other and prayed over one another. While they were praying over me a word came from the Lord. A word that only confirms the desire of my heart and solidifies who I am.

Yes, it was said that I have the "gift of motherhood."

Honestly, I'm not sure what all that entails or what it fully means. I don't feel especially gifted in being a mommy. But it's all so new still. After all, I haven't been a mom for even a year yet... it was a year ago in late November that we first knew of Grace's existence. And she's been in our arms for only 2 1/2 months now! Isn't it amazing how much changes in a year?

So this blog is going to be my way of exploring life as a new mom. It's going to be my way of learning and writing and blah blah blah! If you care to follow along, I'd love to hear your input and share my thoughts with you.
